Our take
Ilios Beach Hotel Apartments puts the sea first: it stands on the beachfront in Rethymno with access to a private beach area, and the infinity pool and sun terrace face the water. Units have balconies and kitchenettes, which helps on longer stays, and there is a bar and beauty services on site. I would book it for a quiet adults-only break with easy walks into the Venetian old town. Its 8.9 score comes from only 78 reviews, so the picture is still building.

- Adults-only atmosphere for tranquility
- Family rooms with kitchenettes and balconies
Why guests love itIlios Beach Hotel Apartments is labelled adults-only, so I would not plan a stay here with children, even though the listing also mentions family rooms. For adult family groups, such as grown-up children travelling with parents, the set-up is practical: units have balconies and kitchenettes, the hotel is on the beachfront with a private beach area, and there is an infinity pool, a sun terrace and a bar. Beauty services are available. An 8.9 score from 78 reviews is promising.
