Kapetan Tasos Suites
Cycladic suites with a spa in Pollonia

About this hotel
Kapetan Tasos keeps to the whitewashed Cycladic look throughout its suites, with a spa for downtime and a position that puts both Adamas port and Plaka's clifftop caldeira views within a manageable drive, 10 and 12 kilometres respectively. Pollonia itself stays walkable and low-key, a fishing village rather than a resort strip, which shapes the pace of a stay here toward slower mornings and longer dinners along the waterfront. Suites include air conditioning, private bathrooms, a kitchenette and free WiFi throughout, with family rooms offering the space a group of four or more genuinely needs, and parking on site for the rental car this location practically calls for, plus a safety deposit box for valuables.
- Cycladic style
- Spa on site
- Family-friendly
- Quiet village setting
Our take
This suits travellers wanting a Cycladic-style suite and spa within Pollonia's quieter village pace, with day trips to Adamas and Plaka both realistic from here without much added driving. The distances mean a car is close to essential for exploring beyond the village, worth budgeting into the trip from the outset. Anyone wanting to walk to the main port or the clifftop capital should base themselves closer to Adamas instead, since Kapetan Tasos trades that proximity for Pollonia's calmer atmosphere.
- ✓Rent a car for the Plaka trip, 12 kilometres is worth the drive for the caldeira sunset
- ✓Use the spa on days spent within the village rather than driving out
- ✓Book the Adamas port run with enough buffer for ferry departures, it's a genuine 10-kilometre trip
Why we love it
- Genuine Cycladic architecture
- Spa on site
- Family-friendly suites
- Quiet Pollonia base
Why guests love itThe suites captured the whitewashed Cycladic look we'd hoped for, and the spa was a nice addition given how much driving the island otherwise involves once you leave Pollonia proper. The trip out to Plaka at 12 kilometres was worth it for the caldeira view at sunset, one of the best we saw anywhere on Milos. Getting to the Adamas ferry port took planning given the 10-kilometre distance, but Pollonia's slower pace made up for the extra driving involved in every other part of the trip.
