Niriedes sits on the slope above Platis Gialos bay, close enough to the sand that the 100-metre walk down barely counts, but high enough that every room keeps its sea view rather than losing it to the building next door. The pool has a hydromassage corner for the afternoons when the beach feels like too much effort, and the small art gallery is an unexpected touch for an aparthotel this size. Breakfast moves onto a sea-view terrace, which is where the Cycladic-meets-contemporary rooms make the most sense: whitewash and clean lines by day, DVD player and kitchenette for the evenings you skip the tavernas. The gym and indoor playground cover both ends of a family group without either feeling like an afterthought.
