Our take
This suits families and couples who want a pool, a restaurant and room service in one place, with the beach five minutes off. It is a short drive or longer walk to the castle, so it favours people who prefer a base with its own facilities over a harbour-side lodging.
- ✓Book a family room with a balcony and ask which side faces the pool for the best outlook.
- ✓Order the continental buffet breakfast, which includes warm dishes, fresh pastries and fruit.
- ✓Check the live music evenings with the restaurant if you want a quiet night, and request a room accordingly.
