The renovated rooms split between mountain and sea balconies, and since the rate barely reflects the difference the orientation has to be asked for rather than assumed. Some rooms add a spa bath, which is a fitting detail in a town whose reputation was built on hot water, and each comes with a flat-screen TV, mini fridge, free toiletries and a hairdryer. Being family-run shows in the continental breakfast and the way the front desk handles arrivals. The position is the strongest part: forty metres from the beach in the town centre, with bars, restaurants, seaside cafes and Casino Loutraki all within a walk, the hot springs a short stroll away and the bus terminal twenty metres from the door.
