Margado is built up the hillside above Kamares rather than down at sea level, which is exactly the point: the outdoor pool and the rooms both look out over the full sweep of the port bay, 300 metres below. The complex mixes accommodation types around the pool, from simple rooms to larger units, with a snack bar and pool bar covering most of the day without a walk into the village. The barbecue area and lounge with satellite TV round out a stay that is closer to a small resort than a simple pension. The village's restaurants, bars, shops and bus stop are all a short walk down the hill.
