Why guests love itWith children, Belmondo suits a family that spends its days out and comes back only to sleep. The car-free lanes of Topanas make evening walks to the harbour, the Firkas fort and the Maritime Museum of Crete easy with school-age children, and the rooms sleep three or four. The limits are real: there is no lift, so a pushchair has to be carried up the stairs, and there is no pool, garden or play area for downtime. Nea Chora, the closest sandy beach, has shallow water and is about ten minutes on foot, so a beach morning means a walk rather than a lift down. Teenagers will like it more than toddlers.
