The yoga classes were an unexpected highlight, a proper way to start the day before the heat set in, something we'd never have arranged ourselves on a normal trip. The games room kept the kids entertained on the one overcast afternoon, a real save compared with sitting in the room. Having a full kitchen meant the wellness focus didn't come at the cost of eating well, since we cooked properly most nights.

The infinity pool felt like a genuine step up from the standard rectangular decks we'd seen at other aparthotels nearby, worth the short distance from the old town's busiest lanes. Private check-in on arrival meant no queue after a long travel day, a small thing that set the tone for the whole stay. Cycling in and out of town each day, with parking sorted at the property, turned out to be one of our favourite parts of the trip.

The view from the pool terrace was worth the drive up on its own, the whole town and the sea laid out below us in a way none of the waterfront hotels we'd looked at could match. Breakfast at the snack bar became a slow, unhurried start most mornings, watching the town wake up from above. Driving down for dinner each evening felt like a small adventure rather than a chore, the descent easy enough by car.

Fifty metres to the beach meant our youngest could see the sea from the balcony and be in it within minutes, no long walk to manage with beach gear in tow. The paddling pool and playground gave us a break from constant supervision at the main pool, somewhere they could play safely on their own terms. Cooking with the proper hobs in the Family Studio kitchenette saved real money over a week compared with eating out every meal.

The breakfast buffet turned out to be worth getting up early for, local pastries and specialities that felt properly homemade rather than the standard hotel spread we've had elsewhere. Barbecuing in the garden one evening became a highlight of the whole stay, cheaper and more relaxed than driving into town for dinner with kids in tow. The private check-in on arrival, after a long travel day, made settling in noticeably easier.

The waterpark turned out to be the highlight for our kids, more entertaining than a standard pool and enough to fill a full day without leaving the grounds. The hot tub in the evening became our own routine once the kids were settled, a proper wind-down after a day of swimming. The short walk to Agios Ioannis Beach gave us a change of scene on the one day the pool felt too busy.

The panoramic sea view genuinely lived up to the name, visible from nearly every window rather than a single lucky angle, which surprised us given the price point. Cooking dinner most nights in the well-equipped kitchen kept costs down while we spent our budget on windsurfing lessons at the beach instead. The olive-tree garden gave the whole stay a quieter, more grounded feel than the busier resorts we'd looked at along the coast.

The playground gave us a genuine break from constant pool supervision, our kids happy to run around while we actually relaxed by the infinity pool for once. Cooking in the full kitchen most nights kept the week affordable despite the property's more upscale feel. The walk to Faneromenis Monastery one morning was a nice change of pace before heading back for an afternoon by the water.

Le bar est ouvert de midi jusqu'à tard avec jus, café et cocktails. Je le choisirais pour une famille qui veut une base pratique entre la ville et la plage.

Having a sea view as the standard rather than an upgrade made every morning start well, coffee on the balcony before the kids' pool opened up for the day. The restaurant's romantic evening atmosphere gave us one proper dinner out without needing to book elsewhere in town. The short walk to Gyra Beach rounded out the days nicely, close enough not to feel like a planned outing every time.
