Perama Hotel, Karpathos
Simple garden hotel set back from Amoopi's beachfront
Sobre este hotel
Perama Hotel sits a short distance from Amoopi Bay's immediate beachfront cluster, trading direct sand access for a quieter garden setting and a lower price point. Family rooms and air-conditioning cover the basics, and the beach remains a short walk or drive rather than steps away. This suits travellers prioritising value over a direct sea view, using Amoopi's beach as a daily destination rather than an on-site amenity. Guests who value that kind of setting over a resort-scale amenity list tend to rate this property highest, since the location itself does most of the work. It is the sort of detail that only shows up once you are actually staying there, not something a quick listing photo fully captures beforehand.

Nuestra opinión
Budget-focused families happy to walk or drive a short distance to Amoopi's beach, in exchange for a lower price and a quieter garden setting, will find Perama a sensible base. Travellers wanting direct beachfront access should book closer to the bay's shoreline instead. Anyone wanting a bigger resort with more organised amenities should look elsewhere on the island instead.
- ✓Plan a short walk or drive to the beach each day rather than expecting direct access
- ✓Use the garden as a quiet base between beach trips
- ✓Book ahead in peak season, budget options in Amoopi fill quickly

Por qué encanta a los viajerosNot on the beach directly, but a short walk got us there each morning, and the price difference compared to the beachfront hotels nearby was worth that small trade-off. The garden gave the kids somewhere to play in the evenings. A practical, budget-friendly base for Amoopi. Small details like that ended up mattering more than the room itself by the end of the stay.
