Ionian Plaza Hotel & Spa
An indoor spa with hamam and CocoMat beds in the centre
Ionian Plaza runs one of the most complete wellness setups in central Argostoli, an indoor pool alongside a sauna, hot tub, and hamam, plus dedicated beauty and massage treatments available through the front desk. Rooms use CocoMat mattresses and earthy decor for a calmer atmosphere than the brighter, more colourful interiors found elsewhere in town, and most come with a balcony overlooking the city alongside a safety box and hairdryer as standard. The free-access gym center adds a fitness option beyond the spa itself, and while Antisamos Beach's scenic, lush surroundings sit within thirty kilometres for a day trip, the hotel's own centre-of-town position means most days can be spent without a car at all.
- Indoor hamam and spa
- CocoMat mattresses
- Free-access gym
- Central Argostoli location
- ✓Book a hamam session for an afternoon when outdoor sightseeing feels less appealing
- ✓Use the free-access gym center alongside a spa treatment rather than choosing one or the other
- ✓Plan Antisamos Beach as a half-day trip, given the thirty-kilometre distance from the hotel
- A genuine hamam alongside the sauna and hot tub, rare in central Argostoli
- CocoMat mattresses and a calmer, earth-toned room design
- A free-access gym center included for hotel guests
- A central position seven kilometres from Kefalonia Airport
