Το Serenya Hotel Milos είναι νεοανοιγμένο οικογενειακό ξενοδοχείο τριών αστέρων στον Αδάμαντα, με θέα στη θάλασσα και πρόσβαση σε σπα, λίγα βήματα από την παραλία Παπικινού και κοντά στο Μεταλλευτικό Μουσείο, με το αεροδρόμιο της Μήλου περίπου 4 χλμ. μακριά. Παραλία και μουσείο με τα πόδια κάνουν εύκολες τις μέρες με παιδιά. Στα χαρτιά μου αρέσει, αλλά η τέλεια βαθμολογία 10 στηρίζεται σε μία μόνο κριτική: ένα υποσχόμενο νέο κατάλυμα, όχι ακόμη δοκιμασμένο.

The suite's sea view over the rooftops was better than expected for the price, and having a real kitchen made the week far cheaper than eating out nightly, especially with two kids to feed three times a day. The port walk was easy even with a stroller, no real hills to contend with along the way. The spa filled a rainy afternoon well when the beach plan fell through. Would book an upper floor again for the improved sightline over the village toward the water.

Chose this specifically for a quiet, adults-only week and it delivered exactly that, no children's pool noise, no early breakfast rush to contend with each morning. The sea view from the room held up to the rating, a genuine outlook rather than a glimpse between buildings. Needed a rental car for the three-kilometre trip into Adamas most evenings, which is worth planning ahead for before arrival. The spa was a highlight on the one windy day when the water wasn't an option.

Having both a pool and the beach 150 metres away meant the kids never got bored of one option, we just switched depending on the wind that day and how crowded the sand looked. The Cycladic architecture made the whole resort feel like part of the island rather than bolted onto it, unlike some larger resorts elsewhere in Greece. The spa was a nice touch on the one overcast morning when the pool felt a bit cool. A genuinely well-rounded family stay, worth the four-star rate for what it delivered.

Landing and being at the hotel within ten minutes made the first afternoon feel like a full day rather than half lost to transfers and check-in queues. The beach access was as direct as advertised, straight off the property with no road to cross. Sarakiniko was worth the short drive out, stark white rock against blue water unlike anywhere else on the island we visited. The spa filled the one grey afternoon nicely, and the sea-view room made every morning coffee feel like a small occasion.

Booked two nights mostly for the spa, and it delivered: a proper treatment afternoon, then a short walk down to Papikinou Beach the next morning before the crowds arrived. The suite's balcony had enough of a sea line to make coffee out there worthwhile every day of the stay. Airport pickup took barely ten minutes given the four-kilometre distance, which meant the first evening wasn't lost to travel. Would have liked the spa hours extended into the evening for a post-beach treatment.

Five minutes to Papikinou Beach meant it became a genuine daily routine rather than a special trip we had to plan around. The spa filled in nicely on the one windy afternoon we had, when the sea felt a bit much for a swim. The port and Mining Museum were both an easy add-on to any day's plan without extra driving involved. A smaller, quieter property than the resort-scale hotels but well placed for everything we wanted to do on Milos.

The studio worked well for a week of self-catering: the kitchenette handled breakfast most mornings, and the balcony faced enough west that sunset drinks became a routine before the walk into Adamas for dinner. The port was close enough to wheel the suitcases down for an early ferry without booking a taxi. Air conditioning kept the room comfortable through the hottest stretch of August. The one real gripe was that a sea-facing room should have been confirmed by name at booking, not assumed from the listing photos.

The central spot meant we never needed a taxi, the port, restaurants and a small supermarket were all within a few minutes on foot from the front door. The spa was a welcome break midweek when the kids were happy with a pool day instead of the beach. Driving out to Plaka for sunset was the trip highlight, and Sarakiniko wasn't far in the other direction either. A livelier location than we expected, in a good way, with plenty going on right outside.

Nothing fancy, but the location did exactly what we needed: a five-minute walk to Lagada Beach each morning and a short stroll into the port for dinner most nights without ever needing a car. The room itself was basic but clean, and the sea view from the window was a genuine bonus at this price point. Air conditioning kept things bearable through a hot stretch in July. Wouldn't book it for a special-occasion trip, but for a beach-first week focused on value it worked well.
